Sustainable Environmental Performance
As a manifestation of environmental responsibility, the company is committed to managing operational impacts sustainably through resource efficiency, eco-friendly technology, and conservation programs.
Carbon Footprint Reduction
Yupi is preparing to measure Scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions in 2025/2026 as an initial step toward a decarbonization plan and the establishment of Net Zero Emissions targets. This process will serve as the foundation for implementing comprehensive and sustainable emission reduction initiatives.
Energy Efficiency & Factory Management
Yupi operates three main facilities in Indonesia, located in Gunung Putri (West Java), Karanganyar (Central Java), and Samolo-Cianjur (West Java) with a total of 22 production lines. We continuously evaluate our energy management practices and are exploring the potential use of solar panels as an alternative, more environmentally friendly energy source.
Wastewater Treatment Facilities
Our water treatment facilities are equipped with modern technology to filter and recover water before it is released into the environment. The treated water is proven safe, as evidenced by thriving fish and plant life in our wastewater retention ponds.
Infiltration & Absorption Wells
Yupi has constructed infiltration wells and water absorption wells as tangible steps in groundwater conservation. These systems channel rainwater into the soil, helping to maintain water reserves and reduce the risk of flooding.
Rainwater Harvesting Installation
We have also implemented a rainwater harvesting system to utilize natural water sources for operational needs such as garden irrigation, outdoor area cleaning, and production water reserves. This approach reduces our dependence on conventional water sources.
Eco-Friendlier Packaging
We continuously assess the packaging materials we use to ensure efficiency and minimize environmental impact. Our focus is on reducing packaging waste without compromising product safety and quality.
Green Open Spaces
As part of our efforts to preserve ecosystem balance, Yupi’s factories include green open spaces planted with diverse vegetation. These areas not only improve air quality and biodiversity but also contribute to a more pleasant and environmentally friendly workplace.
